When puppies are born, there will almost always be a runt. This is the tiniest of the litter and is often tossed aside. Without help from the mama dog or from people, the runt of the litter usually doesn’t survive.
Regardless of their tiny size, the runt of the litter can grow up to become a big and strong dog. A runt pit bull puppy named Guinness was pushed off to the side by the mama dog when he was born. Guinness was only half the size of his siblings and was really weak.
A woman named Jess was determined to save Guinness despite everyone telling her not to get her hopes up. Everyone except Jess expected Guinness not to survive. Jess just couldn’t stand the thought of not giving Guinness a chance.
Jess brought Guinness home to take care of him. Jess bottle-fed Guinness every day, and it was a challenge to keep Guinness alive. Despite running through some obstacles, Guinness started getting stronger and became much more independent.
Guinness also started developing a sweet and spunky personality. When Guinness was well enough, Jess finally applied to adopt him. Jess couldn’t be happier to finally make Guinness a permanent part of her family.
Guinness quickly grew up to become a big and beautiful pit bull that’s really sweet and would always help his mom foster puppies. However, it was during the time when Jess brought home two rescue kittens that she something special in Guinness.
At first, Guinness was a little unsure about the kittens. Guinness knew that they were different from puppies, but they were also baby animals. Guinness was really careful around the kittens and would always sniff them. Eventually, Guinness started following the kittens around and would even watch them intensely while Jess bottle-fed the kittens.
Guinness became obsessed with the tiny kittens and would always make sure that everything’s okay. Guinness often licked the kittens to wash them and was always there acting as a protective big brother. When the kittens were able to walk around, Guinness couldn’t wait to play with them.
Eventually, the kittens went to their forever homes. Guinness was a little confused when Jess came home without the kittens, but it wasn’t long when another batch of kittens came home with Jess to foster. As soon as Guinness found out that there are kittens in the house, he became so happy.
Although Guinness didn’t grow up with a mama dog, he still knows how to take care of the tiny kittens that Jess fosters. Guinness loves showing the kittens the ropes and how to get through life without having a mom. Here’s a heartwarming and fun video showing how an 80-lb pit bull became obsessed with taking care of tiny kittens.
