At the early age of 8, this Florida teenager named Shane Koch has already been diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome. This condition has taken a toll on the teenager’s self-esteem because he feels that he is not like other kids his age. With his situation, his classmates and other rude neighbors make fun of Shane, which dampened the kid’s confidence.
But a few years later, the kid got introduced to an adorable puppy named Callum. The dog eventually changed Shane for the better and was instrumental in the kid’s transformation. It was the dog who helped Callum regained his self-confidence and controlled his condition.
More than this, the dog became a ball of sunshine for the young kid because Callum served as Shane’s guide. Living with Tourette is already challenging for Shane, but he found a silver lining in the dog because Callum showed him love and kindness.
According to Shane, Callum is more than a dog because he treats the dog like his brother. Shane and Callum would spend most of their time together because Shane and Callum enjoy each other’s company. Whenever Shane ticks because of his condition, it is Callum who would respond and make Shane feel that everything would be fine.
Since Shane regained his confidence, the kid has recently turned to TikTok to spread positivity. The social media platform is an excellent opportunity for Shane to forward his advocacy of making people happy. But the kid likewise uses this social media platform to be an inspiration to other kids with a similar condition that they could be productive.
The big break that Shane waited for happened on TikTok, and it was through his dog, Callum. Shane would often let Callum do silly things and film it on the social media site. Afterward, he would share it with his followers, saying that it is normal to be different most of the time.
@callumtheridgy I love you Callum! ❤️
